The society publishes a quarterly newsletter that provides information about local and international classical guitar news, upcoming events, concerts, master classes, student recitals, etc. There is also a section of the newsletter where members may advertise classical guitars and accessories.
The society hosts informal meetings which provide a forum for development and enjoyment of the guitar. During these meetings, members can gather encouragement and motivation, gain playing experience, or just listen. You do not have to be a guitar player to be a member. Some society members have traveled widely and studied with the world's masters of guitar in pursuit of improvements in their own performance and understanding of the classical guitar.
The society arranges concerts and master classes featuring internationally and nationally acclaimed virtuosi as well as benefit concerts featuring some of Edmonton's best classical guitarists. Members will receive discounts on concert tickets.
Upon presentation of a membership card, society members receive discounts at selected merchants in the Edmonton area.
